In the heart of Brittany, in Carnoët, La Vallée des Saints does more than just erect stone giants: it also passes on know-how that is unique in the world. Launched in 2023 in partnership with UNICEM and UNICEM Campus Bretagne, the “Granite Monumental Sculptor” course (BAC level) offers an immersion in the art of sculpture on granite, the emblematic material of our region.
Each year, two students are trained to perpetuate this tradition, combining ancestral techniques with contemporary creativity.
Recognised by the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP), this course combines theory and practice on an exceptional site, where almost 200 monumental statues bear witness to an eternal ambition: to reach 1,000 giants. In 2025, it will be enriched by an unprecedented exchange with sculptors from Easter Island, who will come to create a Moai in Breton granite, reinforcing its international reputation.
Open to anyone with a passion for art, history and heritage, this course embodies the values of La Vallée des Saints: Breton roots, inspiration, accessibility and creative freedom. Whether you’re a student, a craftsman or a retrained professional, join a project that sculpts the future while honouring the past.
