A Galon Vat endowment fund

In 2016, six major patrons of La Vallée des Saints decided to set up the A Galon Vat (“from the heart” in Breton) endowment fund to give the La Vallée des Saints Association the means to develop its site and contribute to the building of a unique place for the transmission of traditional knowledge and artistic creation dedicated to monumental granite sculpture.

United around the 4 values of La Vallée des Saints: freedom, rootedness, inspiration and accessibility, these founders have made an initial donation, from 2016 to 2020, to equip the site with a magnificent building designed to welcome visitors and develop economic activities (shop, restaurant and guided tours).
Thanks in no small part to their generosity, in just a few years the Vallée des Saints cultural and artistic site has become one of Brittany’s leading visitor attractions. In 2021, it ranked as the most visited site in Brittany, with 352,000 visitors.

To support the development of La Vallée des Saints and contribute to the funding of phase 2 of the Association’s 2023-2028 strategic plan (construction of a new building to house the La Vallée des Saints sculptors’ workshop, sanitary facilities and offices), the Endowment Fund is organising a new fund-raising campaign. This strategic project aims to improve working conditions for the artists at La Vallée des Saints, develop training for artists in monumental granite sculpture, continue to professionalise the site and develop sculpture and engraving workshops for visitors and young people in Brittany.

The aim is to raise €1,250,000 between 2023 and 2027.
